Best practices and security policies require that all data is removed from storage devices when taken out of service. Several standards, such as IEEE 2883, ISO 27040:2015, and NIST SP800-88rev1 define techniques for media sanitization. For US Government agencies additional requirements are defined in NSA/CSS Policy Manual 9-12.

We provide a mobile solution for secure on-site processing of retired Hard Disk Drives. An inventory of devices is taken and media will be destroyed using approved media sanitization techniques. Proof of destruction is provided using a Certificate of Destruction.

An environment-friendly process is used to recover critical materials from electronic waste. The process allows for selective leaching of rare-earth elements from magnets within the e-waste from end-of-life hard disk drives and electric motors. Recovered materials are available for re-use in the manufacturing of mission critical components.

... begins with the Government Hard Drive and results in a completely sanitized and destroyed media unit with the concurrent reclamation of Rare Earth Elements being made available to the nation's Strategic Reserve.
